What's Next FireBear?

FIREBEAR'S RE-VANPENING!!!
Yes, it's True! Our van is dying... well it's never been that reliable, and now it's struggling to get us to the local shops on most days - interstate events are simply out of the question. Repairing it is way too expensive to be worth it, our mechanic mentioned that we could easily spend $10k and possibly as much as $15k or more on making it still only be worth $4-5k :-(
So to that end, our dedicated minion Cat has worked her interweb-a-ma-bob magic and created a GoFundMe page to raise money towards either a new van or a light truck so we can continue to travel to both medieval fairs, and to visit schools with our History Education Program.
You can donate towards the cause or just follow along to see how we're doing at the link below...
FireBear's Re-Vanpening
Post Fair Blues :-(
Whilst the first Fantasy Medieval Fair in Mt Gambier was an outstanding success, and the SA Medieval Fair's move to a larger site at Paracombe was also a great event, it looks like we've all suffered for our craft once again!
Most of the minions are down with the PLAGUE! and FireBear himself suffered a nasty allergic reation to several bites from a wolf spider :-(
This has slowed us all down significantly, and we apologise for taking extra time to get orders sorted an posted out!
Even our van caught the plague - it spontaneously locked itself late on the Saturday night with the keys in it, in the middle of an orchard where we were camping - RAA to the rescue! Then on the trip home on the Southern Express way there was a backfire, it lost power, and then died coming to a stop in the emergency lane. Luckily Bear got it going again and limped it home... sigh :-(Please bear with us as we all recover. Thanks!
New Minion Store Category!
Following on from the success of Shadowfox Forge and Fibre, our next Minion Store Category is...
TinkerTailorWorkshop
from Operated by Cat, our latest shop category will soon be online selling a range of kids and adults costume items. Her kid's tunics and tabards were a huge hit at the recent Fantasy Medieval Fair in Mt Gambier and will also be available at the FireBear's Emporium stall at the SA Medieval Fair at Paracombe on the 7th and 8th of May!
Post Delays
We will continue to limit our post office runs to once or twice a week... This means there may be a delay in getting your parcel into the AusPost system. Wherever possible we'll use our Sendle network account and courier your order to you instead. However the Sendle network doesn't cover all locations - it's mostly limited to the capital cities, but is actually quicker at delivering parcels than Auspost to those locations within their network. We hope you'll understand and continue to support us. With the current industrial action ongoing across the country's transport industry, further delays with deliveries are unfortunately common at the moment. Many of our materials sourced from both Australian and international suppliers are experiencing some huge shipping delays in getting to us too! So please, be patient, we're all in the same slow boat!
