This first video is part 1 of my ring making process... here I show how I use a home made tensioning jig and a cordless drill to wind my coils. In this case I'm doing 5000 series aluminium on a 5mm mandrel about 60cm long. However I do have mandrels I use up to about 12mm and upto 100cm long - yep thankfully I have long enough arms LOL :-)

This second video is a quick test firing of our lithobolos type ballista filmed just after completing the winding of the torsion bundles. Ammo was a golf ball :-)

This video is of the inital test firing of "Molly" our latest trebuchet. It was designed to be taken apart and collapsed to fit easily into the back of our van. Ammo here is 1kg bags of flour and the odd butternut pumpkin.
